Mike Hiebert is a passionate drummer and educator whose journey began in church and youth group as a teen. His love for drumming quickly grew into a lifelong mission to perform and inspire others through music. Since 2000, Mike has taught hundreds of students—up to 71 per week—helping many launch professional music careers. His versatile playing spans Rock, Pop, Be-Bop, Big Band, Blues, Country, Singer-Songwriter, and Folk, with performances from Dawson City, Yukon to Lima, Peru. Mike studied under the legendary Joe Porcaro at the Los Angeles Music Academy, graduating with a 3.95 GPA in Music Performance. He’s known for his ability to connect with all learners, including those with learning disabilities, using a unique drum notation system. Mike is proudly endorsed by Yamaha Drums, Vater Drumsticks, and Sabian Cymbals, and continues to share his deep love for rhythm in every setting he plays and teaches.
